The OUTLET and Banbridge District Council are putting on their biggest and brightest Halloween celebrations to date at Bridgewater Park, Banbridge on Friday 30th October. A host of Halloween festivities, running from 6.00pm until 9.00pm, will be laid on by The OUTLET management whilst the Council’s annual fireworks display promises to be as jaw dropping as ever. The entertainment includes a parade by local school children featuring Indian and Halloween-themed lanterns handmade by the children themselves. The fun continues with a multi-cultural showcase of dance, music and Eastern food including Chinese lion dancers, samba music, Bollywood dancers, African drummers and more. The U105 radio roadshow will also be on hand with trick or treat games and giveaways including a fancy dress competition for children with designer goodies from Toy Town and Banana Books up for grabs. One lucky family will also walk away with a dream family holiday to Disneyland Paris which will be given away on the night. This year’s fireworks display will be played against a synchronised sound track featuring rock and pop classics and promises walls of fireworks reaching over 170 ft into the night sky and shells bursting at over 700 ft. Speaking on behalf of Banbridge District Council, Chairman Elizabeth Ingram, said, “The OUTLET will offer a great mix of fun, fashion, fireworks and food this Halloween and is definitely the place to go to enjoy the celebrations. Last year’s event was a great success but we’d like to see even more visitors there this year. Everyone’s welcome – even the witches and wizards and ghouls and ghosts!” Euan Forbes, Centre Manager for The OUTLET at Bridgewater Park comments: “We are delighted to be teaming up with Banbridge District Council to provide a great event for the district again this year. With a jam-packed entertainment programme and the stores all open to 9pm there’s so many reasons to visit - The OUTLET is the place to be this Halloween.” For further information about this event and others surrounding the Halloween period at The OUTLET, Banbridge visit www.the-outlet.co.uk.
