Designer Outlet Centre Celebrates One Year Milestone!
 The OUTLET at Bridgewater Park Banbridge is planning a month long celebration from 5th April to 5th May to mark its first birthday. The designer outlet centre has been a phenomenal success since opening with over 65 stores now trading and shoppers visiting from all over Ireland. The festivities will begin with a big birthday celebration weekend on Saturday 5th and Sunday 6th April. On Saturday the Mall will transformed into a massive birthday party featuring a stunning catwalk show showcasing spring/summer designer and high street fashion from The OUTLET’s 66 stores. Some of the Covergirl finalists will be taking part in the Show as well as last year’s winner Jenna Irszak from Banbridge. The Show will take place hourly from 12-4pm so come along and see some fantastic style ideas for the spring/summer season. A giant 6ft birthday cake will be unveiled and gorgeous waiters will be handing out complimentary birthday cakes from local Banbridge favourite Windsor Bakery to shoppers. A funfair will be located at Simply Deanes with a carousel, dodgems, Waltzer, Twirler and children’s rides. Popcorn and candy floss vendors will add to the carnival atmosphere. International aerial acrobatic artists will be performing stunning acrobatic shows throughout the day. Stilt walkers, mime artists, Punch & Judy and balloon modellers will also be entertaining the crowds along the Mall which is a third of a mile long. The Cool FM roadshow will be there providing music, giveaways and party games throughout the day. Other music includes a samba band on stilts and a brass band. As well as all the entertainment and carnival activity lucky shoppers can look forward to designer giveaways every hour with some fabulous prizes up for grabs including Luella handbags, designer sunglasses, toys and diamonds. Sunday activity will include a salsa dancing troupe, big swing band, ‘BIG’ themed family activity including a giant inflatable slide, giant bungee run and giant climbing wall between 1-4pm.
